La Yahoushua

In September 2022, Liberty Academy was made aware of La Yahoushua School located in Accra, Ghana. Liberty Academy reached out to La Yahoushua to determine their interest in forming an alliance to advance cultural exchanges between our students, and faculty exchanges where Liberty Academy staff would teach in Accra for a year, and La Yahoushua staff would teach in the United States for a year.

On August 9, 2023, Liberty Academy's leadership traveled to Accra, Ghana to meet the leadership of La Yahoushua and tour their facilities. Upon sharing ideas on how the two schools would like to manage an alliance, Liberty Academy and La Yahoushua are proud to announce that the alliance has been officially formed.

La Yahoushua School is a perfect example of how dedication, hard work and character are much more important to the greatness of a school than the physical structure. All one needs to do is speak with the faculty and students to appreciate their commitment to education, as they recognize that a good education is key to having a successful future.

The students impressed us with several outstanding performances including dance, music, fashion, and poetry. Most of the students attending La Yahoushua are tri-lingual where they speak English, Ga and Twi fluently.

Students from both schools are very similar in that they like to laugh, run, and play with their classmates. When our students can interact, we hope they will talk about music, artists, sports, and other important cultural influences that make them who they are. To accommodate the video conferences, Liberty Academy will donate an 85" Promethean ActivPanel and other accessories required to stream between the schools. Liberty Academy could not be prouder to form our alliance with La Yahoushua which is built on faith.
